About me

Running late to help a friend move, I stopped my bike to examine
discarded things beside the curb. It's Trash. It's Treasure. It's
Grassroots Recycling. More treasures than can be dreamed of... a hard
cover book with marginalia, wooden box of acrylics, boxing gloves
with the american flag on them, and dippy plants. I see countless
potential lives for everything. And then the rush of voices from
friends that have moved me, complaining about my abundant
peculiarities. Jim will forever tell others how he had to carry a box
of rocks down three floors, and then, up three floors. I'm damn
grateful to have friends like that. I concede that I have plenty of
actual junk. I decide to listen and not take everything that catches
my eye, but I cannot pass up the the beat-up plaster fertility
goddess. It's heavy, but it fits in my messenger bag. And I'm off again.
